Account Manager/ Business Development – Abu Dhabi


BlessingWhite's partner in the Middle-East is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join the Knowledge Group team at Abu Dhabi University.

We are looking for someone who has a record of creating long term and successful client partnerships and who thrives in a consultative sales role where positioning learning capabilities based on needs, proposing solutions based on mutual agreement and partnering with our clients to use our solutions to drive business success are all exemplary skills. A track record of consultative and conceptual/intangible solution selling would be a great asset together with a background/experience in business, HR, OD and Training.

Primary responsibilities will be:

• To attain or exceed target, grow new business, secure new accounts in a collaborative but strategic manner

• To develop new and build on extensive existing business across the Middle-East.

• To build lasting relationships with our existing client base, working alongside our consultancy team, project managers, and support teams such as Marketing and inside sales.

• To lead sales and marketing initiatives for prospects and clients

• To help deliver effective solutions for the cliets

• To build on a strong base of busines.


The ideal candidate might be:

• A successful consultative salesperson from a similar service/consulting sector or from within the industry.

• An entrepreneurial person engaged and motivated by being part of a business and a team that makes a significant and quantifiable difference to its clients.

• A senior HR or experienced training manager/consultant within a business who has a track record of selling and/or discovered the thrill of an entrepreneurial sales role where clients look to you for guidance and value.

The following attributes are essential:
• Strong business development skills, responsible for sales quota achievement for over five years; entrepreneurial.

• Ability to develop strong and trusting relationships at all levels in an organization, but clearly at the senior level.

• Ability to think strategically and creatively in viewing sales issues and opportunities.

• Outstanding listening, questioning, writing and speaking skills.

• Intellectually curious about what BlessingWhite does.

• Determined and self motivated, resourceful, a high-achiever.

• Interested and interesting.

• Able to work equally well alone as well as part of a team.

• Outstanding oral communication skills and an ability to write impactful proposals.

• Evidence of strong success in a non-work field.

The position will be based out of Abu Dhabi and will involve occasional travel across the Gulf region. Projects often require intense work during non-office hours.
